De Vroente, Sustainable Education Point
De Vroente is an educational centre that stimulates and supports education and training around the environment, nature and sustainable development. It is also part of the visitor center of the Grenspark Kalmthoutse Heide. De Vroente is currently closed for renovations but will reopen April 4th .
De Vroente has been around for 25 years and the original building required necessary repairs, energetic adjustments and a redesign of the spaces. In addition to the roof and facade of De Vroente, Duurzaam Educatiepunt (=Sustainable Education Point), the various spaces will be given a different purpose or will be furnished differently. The new expo will focus on climate, nature involvement, space and sustainable consumption and will be fully accessible.
You can currently find the following offer here:
- For the Vlinder walking trail - adapted to the blind and partially sighted - guidance with an expert guide is possible.
- Universities of applied sciences (teacher training courses) can still go for training.
- The electric all-terrain wheelchair (Cadweazle) remains available for the Caterpillar walking path.
- Group reservations are possible again from April 2024
